The Axpo Naturstrom-Fonds sponsors FLISOM in the further development of its thin-film technology for flexible CIGS solar cells. The project is supported with 380 000 CHF and runs for 1½ years.

12 Dec 2006 – CTI Start-up Label for FLISOM

FLISOM is certified to be "ready for sustainable business development" and awarded with the CTI Start-up Label. The CTI is the Swiss Confederation’s innovation promotion agency, supporting the transfer of knowledge and technology between businesses and universities. Its aim is to ensure an efficient and fast transfer of innovative research from the laboratory to the market. CTI Start-up promotes the immediate benefit of the scientific and technology knowledge worked out by researchers and entrepreneurs. The best projects are awarded the CTI Start-up Label after an evaluation and coaching phase. The Label gives credibility, provides integration into networks, and helps accessing venture capital.

04 Dec 2006 – FLISOM recognised as "Technology Pioneer 2007"

FLISOM is selected as a "Technology Pioneer 2007" in the category "energy" by the World Economic Forum. FLISOM is the first Swiss company to obtain this recognition. Technology Pioneers are companies that have been identified as developing and applying highly transformational and innovative technologies in the areas of energy, biotechnology and health, and information technology. The Technology Pioneers were nominated by the world’s leading venture capital and technology companies.

September 2006 – Top newcomer companies in Switzerland in 2006: FLISOM ranks second
The "Private Equity Magazin" elected the 50 top ventures and the 10 top newcomers of Switzerland. A committee, consisting of 38 innovation experts and private equity investors, rates FLISOM as the second best newcomer company in Switzerland in 2006. The magazine for investment capital is published yearly by the Swiss business newspaper CASH together with SECA, the representative body for Switzerland‘s private equity, venture capital and corporate finance industries. 08 May 2006 – FLISOM receives Red Herring 100 Europe Award for 2006!

FLISOM is judged by Red Herring to be among the top 100 private companies based in the EMEA region that play a leading role in innovation and technology. The award recognizes the 100 “most promising” firms driving the future of technology.

21 Mar 2006 – ZKB Pionierpreis Technopark goes to FLISOM!
FLISOM wins the prestigious ZKB Pionierpreis Technopark 2006, one of the three most important awards in Switzerland. The prize money of CHF 31'415.92 (=10'000 × Pi) is awarded for outstanding pioneering technological projects at the threshold to market entry. Evaluation criteria are creativity, innovation, social relevance, marketability, and transfer from science to economy.

02 Feb 2006 – FLISOM wins Venture 2006 Phase 1 Award!
FLISOM is among the 10 winners of the Venture 2006 Phase 1 Award, for which 205 companies have applied. The prize was received for “best business idea” on 2nd February 2006 from the Venture Jury Committee. Venture 2006 is a joint initiative of McKinsey&Company, Switzerland and of ETH Zurich. Well-known Swiss companies and institutions support Venture 2006 financially. Senior personalities from these companies are involved as advisors, speakers and jurors.
